Gym!

Today was the first time in over 3 months I went to the gym! I'll be honest; I really had to push myself to go, be there, and do the exercises. But I did them, and now I feel really, really sore! I do know that this is just the beginning, and it'll just get better and better!

You know how I said I used to go to the gym? Well, I fell off the band wagon. I recently moved into my own apartment. I kind of shifted my focus from living healthy and exercising regularly, to pretty much not doing any of that, and finding furniture for my place. What can I say, thrifting and craigslisting is fun!

My body sure wasn't thanking me though. I got up this morning, and thought enough is enough! It's time to get on a proper regime. How about some organized living? Knowing that your day will consist of going to the gym, among other things, makes for a more rounded day.

So many people are intrigued to know what machines I use at the gym. How is it that this physically disabled woman who has paralysis in various parts of her body is able to use the same exercise equipment as everyone else?

Easy! Well I  know my limits, and so I just use what equipment I'm sure I can use. I almost always set the bar too high, so limiting myself is something I've been working on. For example, for a while now I've been itching to use the rowing machine! My caregiver helped me sit on the sliding seat. Right away we said, nope not today; maybe someday.
